In 1987, two Duke University researchers – Olaf von Ramm and Stephen Smith – developed a new ultrasound technology called 3D Ultrasound. This new technology allowed for incredibly detailed images (3D) and video (4D) of – among other things – children in their mother’s womb. It wasn’t until a few years ago that the technology became mainstream, but now many parents are able to see a vivid picture of their growing child.
Check out this great 4-D Ultrasound video from American Life League called “Baby Steps.” This version is in English, but you can find versions in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, German and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) over at www.BabyStepsDvd.com.
